Naomi Lai is a graphic designer/fashion writer in Vancouver, B.C. who combines her designer background and eye for fashion in all aspects of her life and her fearless attitude towards her career and life has gotten her to where she is she today.

 

Naomi decided to pursuit a career in fashion later in her life at the age of 28. Born and raised in Victoria, B.C. Naomi has always loved fashion but living in a small town the resources to have a career in fashion were slim. Putting that love aside, Naomi went to journalism school at Camosun College where she developed another passion which was graphic design and writing.

 

Naomi decided to make the move to Vancouver where she has been living for almost 3 years now. 2 months after her move, Naomi started to work for a landscape architecture firm which opened her eyes to a new type of design and whole new world of creativity and inspiration. Being surrounded with so many creative people, Naomi became inspired to pursuit her dream which was a career in fashion.

 

Naomi is currently on the path to a new adventure where she hopes to one day work for a fashion magazine doing graphic design, writing and styling. She is now an assistant manager at a local retail store, an intern, and a writer for a local magazine. Inspired by the unconventional and almost strange, Naomi is on her way to making a name for herself in the fashion industry.
